Corporate bonds

What's the definition?
Long-term bonds issued by corporations with strong credit ratings. Holders of corporate bonds generally receive interest payments semiannually. Corporate bonds are usually issued in $1,000 denominations with maturities ranging from 25 to 40 years on average. Investors are often attracted to corporate bonds for their relatively high yields.
