Double Dipping

Double Dipping Definition

Double Dipping is originally the practice of simultaneously holding multiple positions and drawing two incomes from the government. This happens when somebody works for the  government and receives a pension at the same time. In finance the term also refers to brokerage firms, when they put commissioned products into a fee-based account. In this case the brokerage earns money from both the client and the commission.
