Equity Market

Equity Market Definition

Equity Market refers to a market in which shares and derivatives are traded. This market is a network of economic transactions, not a physical marketplace. An Equity Market can be a stock exchange or an over-the-counter market, where securities are traded privately. On the primary stock market new issues are first offered, subsequent trading is carried out in the secondary market.
