Gift bond

What's the definition?
A gift bond is a savings bond or note that does not bear the name of the purchaser as owner or as either co-owner. When someone buys a bond for someone else, it's a gift bond. Lots of people buy gift bonds for birthdays, graduations, weddings, and other special times.
