Natural rate hypothesis

What's the definition?
The natural rate hypothesis was introduced by Milton Friedman in 1968 in an address to the American Economic Association. Unemployment, in the long run, is stable at a particular natural rate. At the natural rate of unemployment, cyclical unemployment is zero.
