Stock Jockey

Stock Jockey Definition

A stockbroker who conducts a high frequency of trades in a client's portfolio. The Stock Jockey actively follows individual stocks and frequently buys and sells shares.

Sometimes this can be done legitimately, but in case the broker does too much short-term trading in accounts over which he has discretion, it may qualify as churning.
