Product Description
Next time someone tells you business can't be done ethically - corners must be cut, negotiations can't be honest - hand them Jon Huntsman's new book. Who's Jon Huntsman? Just someone who started with practically nothing, and built a world-class business that carried him to Forbes' list of America's wealthiest people. Here, he presents the lessons of a lifetime: a passionate, inspirational manifesto for returning to the days when your word was your bond, a handshake was sacred, and swarms of lawyers weren't needed to back it up.

This is no mere exhortation. It's as practical as a book can get. It's about how you listen to your moral compass. It's about how you build teams with the highest values...share success...take responsibility...earn the rewards that only come with giving back. Huntsman built his career and fortune on these principles - from his refusal of the Nixon administration's corrupt demands, to his lifelong commitment to charity, to the way he approaches his biggest deals.

5 out of 5 starsQuick Read, 2008-05-19
This book brings joy to the heart and will leave you with many philosophical expressions that you can modify and use in your own story of success. One can almost build a proto-type of what successful people look like. If you like to be motivated by a heart-felt writing like this, buy (or borrow) the book. I like to think I am self motivated but this book is stimulating in every respect. It is a quick and enjoyable read. Once I started reading it, all other reading went on hold and I couldn't put it down (unless the grand children required attention). Treat yourself and turn the world on fire with all you can accomplish.

I gave this book to a dear friend for his birthday. He liked it so much that he had to finish it the first day. We need more managers like Jon Huntsman.

5 out of 5 starsWords to live by, 2008-04-27
Perhaps the best statement about this excellent book is a quote from my brother, Bruce Douglas, himself a very successful and ethical businessman, "Great thoughts which deserve continuous review."
Mr. Huntsman challenges us all to live out high moral standards, simply because it is the right thing to do and it works. He uses specific examples from his own life to explain the concepts. The book is great read and a challenge to business people and to others.
