Smart investors have made ETFs today-s hottest investment. iMoney is the only ETF investment guide with up-to-the-minute advice that reflects today's ETF marketplace: advice that is fully customized to your specific investment goals.

3 out of 5 starsAN INTERESTING BOOK ON ETFs, 2008-09-02
I would purchase Richard Ferri's book over this one, but, if money is no object buy both of them (I did!). I would add Richard Ferri's book on Asset Allocation.

5 out of 5 starsA Must Read for the Personal Investor, 2008-08-11
If you are looking to take control of your investments, this book is a must read. ETF's should be a part of any Personal Investing 101 education, and iMoney covers the subject in an easy to read style that is informative and entertaining at the same time. I highly recommend it!

5 out of 5 starsETF Strategies, 2008-08-04
This book is perfect for students of the ETF market.
The ETF is a close cousin of the mutual fund.
The acquisition would be helpful because there are
pitfalls inherent for ETF investments. Despite these issues,
the instrument is easy to trade, low cost and a
known quantity. Examples of classic ETF investments are:

o FXI-China large cap ETF
o OIH in the oil/energy sector
o GLD- gold ETF
o SLV- silver ETF
o GDX for mining ETFs
o USO for oil

The authors advise to buy ETFs where movement or
turning points are expected. The standard deviation
measures risk levels. An R squared of 85-100 is
considered a good statistic. A strength of the work
is that the author provides important statistical
yardsticks for comparison purposes.

The basic choices with an ETF are to buy, hold,
rebalance the portfolio and avoid market noise.
The buying decision is dispositive in profit
determination and little else according to the authors.
Consumers would benefit from a basic knowledge of
statistics in order to read this book and fully
understand the contents.

5 out of 5 starsI now know what my Financial Advisor has been talking about , 2008-07-20
Although I have a Financial Advisor who manages my securities, I have often asked myself why my Advisor relies so heavily on Exchange Traded Funds for my portfolio.

This book answers that question. Not only do ETF's make sense, but the iMONEY book makes sense. The authors present their information in a straight forward, no-nonsense, easy-to-read manner.

After reading this book, I would question my Financial Advisor if they did NOT rely so heavily on ETF's.

I want to thank the authors for presenting the information in this book to novices such as me. I am sure that the portions of this book that I did not understand were written for more experienced investors who I hope to be someday.
