A good primer for introductory kinetics and reactor design, 2000-06-14
I think this would be a good book for undergraduate students taking their first course in chemical kinetics and reactor design. It only covers homogeneous reactions, ignoring mass transfer issues, but it does deal with energy balances and multiple reactions. This short book is sort of a cross between a Schaum's Outline type book and a cliff notes for a kinetics book. One annoyance is that the author used the opposite sign convention for rates of reaction which I dislike, but it's a minor issue. I think that this book would be a handy aid to learing from a traditional textbook like Fogler to help a student who is having some difficulties with the subject matter.
