 Very wearable sweaters, 2008-08-12
I've started a couple of these sweaters, and the directions are clear. The gauge is nice as it is given both for the starting chain and the pattern stitch. The shell pattern seems to be very versatile, and I am working on size 40 that fits great so far. Nice book! Also, be sure to check the correction to "tall latte" that is on the author's web page.

Very wearable designs for a variety of body types, 2008-08-04
I am really new at crochet, I always thought that crochet sweaters were boxy and not really wearable, so my preference went to knitting. This book though, changed my mind about crochet, the sweaters look good, wearable, and very modern.
The instructions seem a bit confusing, but I think the sweaters are worth the effort.

Great Inspiration for Experienced Crocheter!, 2008-07-31
What can I say, it's Doris Chan? Great modern designs that feed off of each other. Very well written, especially taking into consideration how she managed to cover such a wide range of sizes with her patterns. I am looking forward to making a project out of this book, I've already spent hours reading it and going over the patterns.
I recommend this book to the intermediate and experienced crocheter, not sure about a newbie....but don't be afraid to try, everyone is different. It is hard to find sweater patterns in crochet that aren't super bulky and boxy, these patterns have nice logical shaping.

GREAT BOOK, 2008-06-16
This book is fantastic. I can't say much more than that. Great patterns, great help sections, and wonderful writing by the author, Doris Chan. What a fun pattern book to have in my collection, and I can just about use everyone for myself! That's a treat!
