Editorial Reviews
Product Description
Conversations with God Book 1 began a series that has been changing millions of lives for more than ten years. Finally, the bestselling series is now a movie, starring Henry Czerny (The Pink Panther and Clear and Present Danger) and Ingrid Boulting (The Last Tycoon). Produced and directed by Stephen Simon (producer of Somewhere in Time and What Dreams May Come) and distributed by Samuel Goldwyn Films and Fox Home Entertainment, the theatrical release is set for October 27, 2006. The movie is the true account of Walsch (played by Cierny), who went from an unemployed homeless man to an "accidental spiritual messenger" and author of the bestselling book

Amazon.com Review
Blasphemy! Heresy! Who does this man think he is, claiming to speak directly to God?! Jesus did it, Muhammad did it, the Jewish prophets did it, but none of their Gods had the sardonic wit or raw verve of Prophet Walsch's God. Neale Donald Walsch isn't claiming to be the Messiah of a new religion, just a frustrated man who sat down one day with pen in his hand and some tough questions in his heart. As he wrote his questions to God, he realized that God was answering them... directly... through Walsch's pen. The result, far from the apocalyptic predictions or cultic eccentricities you might expect, turns out to be matter-fact, in-your-face wisdom on how to get by in life while remaining true to yourself and your spirituality.

5 out of 5 starsLife changing, 2008-10-11
Three years ago I found this book! It changed my life long depression, closed mindedness and being locked into years of conventional religion. Now I am free, open minded, non-judgemental and happy. Neale's book taught me what I had always known in my heart. Thank you, thank you Neale and thank you God!

5 out of 5 starsTruly an enlightening perspective, 2008-10-05
Very different perspective on religion, spiritulity and reality as we know it. It always intigues me how the so called religious, particularly Christians are quick to shout blasphemy on anything that is contrary to their man made belief system.( For the record I am/was a Christian)
I ask them quite frankly.....what is God's religion?
No religion have been able to answer all the questions of life, yet people swear by them. So much wrong, injustice, hatred and discrimination is perpetuated in the name of religion. Why not be open to a different perspective. All three volumes of "Conversations with God" has something to think about as an alternative to our reality obviously constructed by men no different than ourselves, but with an agenda to control and dominate through fear based belief systems. Renouncing religion doesn't mean you do not believe in a devine being. Relgions are simply organized institutions selling false spiritual recipes. This book is quite the opposite. Excellent read. I recommend it for any true seekers of truth.

5 out of 5 starsHuman beings are perhaps never more dangerous than when they are convinced beyond doubt that they are right, 2008-10-02
If you've made it this point & are considering buying this book. Then do yourself a favour & take the next step & buy it. With the average review being 4 stars chances are you won't be disappointed. Don't be frightened by the few negative reviews many of which have obviously been written by people who haven't even read the book, obviously "they are convinced beyond doubt that they are right."

Why not read it yourself & make up your own mind, you may just be surprised & discover one of the greatest books you will ever read.

Due to my upbringing in a strict Christian home & the consequent anxiety, fear, guilty, & unhappiness that this generated in myself & my siblings, I have since avoided anything the slightest bit Christian & whilst I had heard of this book the mere fact that it had the word God in it's title was enough to ensure that I would never have bought it of my own accord.

It wasn't until a dear & trusted friend recommended it (after all he'd been right about Eckhart Tolle), that I decided having a look couldn't hurt. To my surprise I found a God that at last made sense & I would challenge anyone to read it in its entirety & still retain no belief in a higher power.

The most surprising thing was I found this higher power (God) to be much closer than I thought. I discovered that he was inside of me & all I had to do to find him was to become still & go within. In doing so I found the greatest teacher, the only master, God himself was within me & then a strange thing happened I started to recognize him in the people I met, in the birds & the sky, in the air I breathed. I discovered that God in fact was everywhere.

I discovered that by becoming still I could find heaven here on earth & I soon realized that prior to this I had been living in hell, a hell of my own creation. I no longer need to search for answers in the pages of a book or the words of any teacher or some holy man. Now I just go directly to the source & my life is a gift, for this I thank Neale Donald Walsch

1 out of 5 starsAbsolute blasphemy., 2008-09-29
I usually steer away from hot topic books like this, but I read only the excerpt, and I am absolutely disgusted. We can only hope and PRAY that nobody takes this lunatic seriously. This is nothing more than someone that is experiencing one of life's slumps, and pretending that God is saying what they want to hear. I can assure you that God had NOTHING to do with this book. And the scary part is that Scholastic (the book fair company) is selling this to CHILDREN. God help us all.

1 out of 5 starsCoversations with god: an idiotic dialogue, 2008-09-28
Here's the flavor of the book: That which is could not know itself. What was the author smoking, the local foliage? Waste of time.
