Product Description The home was top-notch New Jersey suburban. The living room was Martha Stewart. The basement was Legos—and blood. For sports agent Myron Bolitar, the disappearance of a man he'd once competed against was bringing back memories—of the sport he and Greg Downing had both played and the woman they both loved. Now, among the stars, the wanna-bes, the gamblers and groupies, Myron is unraveling the strange, violent life of a sports hero gone wrong, and coming face-to-face with a past he can't relive, and a present he may not survive.
In novels that crackle with wit and suspense, Edgar Award winner Harlan Coben has created one of the most fascinating and complex heroes in suspense fiction—Myron Bolitar—a hotheaded, tenderhearted sports agent who grows more and more engaging and unpredictable with each page-turning appearance.

New fan and huge fan! Humorous, poignant, enjoyable., 2008-06-16 From the names of the characters to their twisted personalities and quirks, the Bolitar Series is brilliant. 5* for dry humor and wit. 5* for character development. 4* for plotting. A definite recommend.

Myron back on the court, 2008-05-31 Not the best Myron Bolitar novel, but Win, Esperanza and Big Cyndi are all there. Sometimes Coben's style of writing is enough to carry the plot. Worth reading.

Bolitar At The Top Of His Game, 2008-01-21 I've not read all of the Myron Bolitar series yet, but Fade Away rates as the best I've read to this point (and all are good). A couple of factors help make this particular story stand out.
First, and foremost, since the storyline centers on basketball, it is much more personal for Myron than when other sports are featured. As a reader, I both celebrated and agonized as Myron tackled his life-long dream.
Secondly, while there are the trademark Coben plot twists and turns, they are not overdone in Fade Away. All of the plot twists ultimately add depth to the story and aren't inserted simply to keep the reader off balance. Very well done.
The secondary characters, Win & Esperanza, as always, add a tremendous amount. The 'guest stars' (the team players and administration) are entirely believable as they each attempt to protect their own turf.

Bolitar is Awesome !, 2007-08-27 Harlan Coben spins a dramatic series with Myron Bolitar that out does Evanovich's Plum. It's intelligent and yet funny, funny. I intend to read the entire awesome Bolitar series.
