5 out of 5 starsThis book promises...and delivers! , 2008-07-23
Stephanie Chandler's attention to detail and extensive research clearly paid off in this value-packed resource for anyone looking to provide information on the Internet. The book takes you through a step-by-step process from determining the subjects to write about to online placement that will give you the biggest bang for your buck. She provides a great variety of resources to help anyone get started; no matter their expertise or experience. I highly recommend this book to the Internet newbie or the experienced techie - either way, you'll be thankful you read this book.

5 out of 5 starsGreat eye opener , 2008-06-27
I went to the book store looking for books on home based information business, and this is a one stop resource. Information has become the hottest commodity to sell, because it can very valuable to consumers and has very high profit margins for creators.

She has infopreneur profiles (people who are already successful), tips for writing information, finding the write information to write about, getting published, publicizing yourself, making online streams of income, establishing a brand for yourself, and a bunch more invaluable information. This is a must have book for all those leaning towards learning about information business.

4 out of 5 starsGreat reference book to start with, 2008-05-09
I found this book to be a great reference tool for getting me accustomed to the language and media available for online marketing. If I can learn at least two valuable pieces of information from a publication that I didn't know prior to reading it, it makes it worth the price.

Recommendation: if an Amazon book listing has a "see inside" option, take a peek at the Table of Contents. It's a good indicator of whether you can expect general informaton on a topic, or in-depth. Clearly, if the "how to sell a book on Amazon" section is 2 pages long, you can expect generalized content. If you want an in-depth read on that subject, find one written specifically about selling a book on Amazon.

Again, several pieces of information in this read were valuable to ME. I'm sure other newbies to the genre will feel the same way.

5 out of 5 starsLoved it!, 2008-01-27
This book was excellent. I have no idea why there are bad reviews. This book is full of great ideas and useful tidbits, and I've been studying this topic for years. I loved this book because I actually pulled information from it that I could use--if you can pull 5 ideas from a book, then it was worth the time. It was not high-level at all. Most of the books you read on this topic are full of empty promises (You can do it! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Hip, hip hooray!, and all that kind of useless crap). But this author did her research thoroughly. This book was worth every penny. I do not know the author but I look forward to other books by her.
