5 out of 5 starsExcellent book, 2010-06-22
This is one of the best book I bought on trading. The method suit my trading style very well as a swing trader. It helps me to systematically identify whether the market is in a trend or correction and what position it is in - at the start, middle or end.
The title of the chapter on Beyond Fibonacci Retracement is indeed most appropriate. It provides the most systematic method of determining when a trend or correction is likely to end.
On the multiple time frame momentum strategy, I wonder why I have not used it before. It is the most logical way to filter a trade set-up.
What impressed me most is that all the subjects covered in the book are very clear and objective starting from how to identify a trade set-up, the entry and exit strategy, position sizing and how to manage trade from entry to exit.
It also comes with a video CD. The 4 trade examples in the CD helps to enhance the learning.

5 out of 5 starsA Very Comprehensive Trading Approach, 2010-06-14
I am a technical analyst and have been investing my time to look for a trading method. I have been learning all the technical indicators, Elliott Wave Theory and Fibonacci Ratios myself but I was not able to use them effectively in my trading until I came across Robert Miner's High Probability Trading Strategies. Mr. Miner was able to put all the things I learned in technical analysis -- technical indicators, Elliott Wave Theory and Fibonacci Ratios together for me in a simple, comprehensive trading approach. Mr. Miner emphasis of multiple time frame trading strategies for technical indicators, Elliott Wave Theory and Fibonacci Ratios is an eye opener for me. I wish I have followed his trading method religiously. I highly recommend this book, which is a must read for any serious, methodical trader looking for a comprehensive trading approach!

5 out of 5 starsThe first time I found something that works, 2010-05-29
I'm an average joe, I have a full time job and trade as often as I can. I don't have a big account to trade with, probably like most of you out there but I do love to trade. I'll admit I've been swindled by many trading businesses claiming that they have found the easy path to riches. Sadly I believed them and lost a lot of money through the process. It seems that no one wants to truly help anyone learn how to be successful in today's cut throat world. I found that Robert Miner is the only person that has actually "taught me how to fish." He correctly identifies the hundreds of frauds out there that only want your money. Its very difficult for any new trader to identify this due to their lack of education and experience. All of the catch phrases and sales pitches that I fell for Robert nailed it, its as if he was speaking directly to me. Unfortunately, I had to go through multiple systems before coming across Robert Miner's.

The real reason why traders aren't successful is mostly due to a false set of beliefs about trading. The media in which markets are portrayed makes you believe that trading is "easy money." Robert was the only person to actually retrain my mind to realistic expectations of trading. That's when I knew there was something different about him. He helped me to see that the problem wasn't external(meaning what platform to use, which indicator to use or what software to use) but rather internal(how one perceives trading). I would highly recommend not only this book but also his other educational material at [...]

As a result, I have become a better trader period. I am now able to anticipate where the market goes rather than wait for the market to move and then make a decision. That aspect alone can make or break a trader. I now have a window into what the market is doing rather than trying to blindly guess where the market may be headed. I am very grateful for you Robert Miner.
Thank You
