5 out of 5 starsThe dynamics of grief, 2005-02-24
This little book provides useful information for both the professional (I'm a hospital chaplain) and those who care about others. In easy to understand language, the authors discuss the nature of loss and our response to it. They discuss what attitudes and actions toward the griever are helpful or not helpful. Using this book alone, you can become a more knowledgable and effective caregiver, whether as friend, family, church member or pastor. I recommend this book to anyone who has experienced a loss (whether death of a loved one or loss of a dream) and to anyone who wants to help others in their losses.

4 out of 5 starsGrief is a normal reaction to loss, 2003-12-14
All Our Losses, All our Griefs describes grief as a normal reaction to grief. It discusses different kinds of loss, not just loss as the result of death. It seeks to address three questions in one volume: Why do people grieve? What are the dynamics of grief? And what can ministers do to help those who grieve? Throughout the book, the authors provide a theological comment to the issues that are raised concerning loss and grief.
