Product Description
The trick parts and customizing magic used on the cars of The Fast and The Furious comes to sport compact car enthusiasts in this Universal Studios–licensed how-to book. Authored by Eddie Paul, the man who built the cars for The Fast and The Furious and 2 Fast 2 Furious, this technical book shows how to transform a sport compact car into one of the flashy custom cars in the film. The book is a step-by-step how-to book, with color photographs taking the reader through the process of installing components and customizing parts. The 25 projects in the book include installing body kits and wings, installing high-end stereo and computer equipment, nitrous oxide kits, exhaust systems, applying graphic kits, selecting wheels and tires, installing underbody lighting kits, and much more.

This book is a waste of paper, shelf space, and publishing rights. The book is mediocre at best showing you what can be done to cars in the most general sense of the word. It does not show you anything specific, there are no instructions or useful hints. It tells you what the shop is called to do a certain job. All of the information here can be found online for free if one looks for five minutes on google. This book has nothing useful. The only positive thing about this book is that it has a lot of pretty pictures for individuals who cannot stand to be a true automotive manual/guide/handbook for more than two sentences.

How To Build The Cars Of The Fast And The Furious
Motorbooks International, 2004, 112 pages
Reference book
My book is about how to do custom car projects.

This book shows how to turn an ordinary car into a tuner. It has plenty of projects such as body kits, custom paint and graphics, nitrous oxide injection, and lots of other things. The book goes into detail about how much money you will need for each project, how much skill you need, how much time it will take up, stuff like that. It has great explanations and pictures to show what the finished product should look like.

My opinion on this book is that if you're a car enthusiast this is the book for you. If you don't have much experience with cars you will defiantly need help. Another thing you will need is a job to pay for the parts. Patience is something to have also, I like to think of the cars as big models. I find this book very interesting because I love cars and I want mine to look just as good. One thing I didn't like about this book is how they didn't get into engines at all. I was hoping to learn about the different kinds of engines and what I should get for my car. The makers of this book should make another book for all engines. I'm all about the speed of the car first, then the look. I was very disappointed to find out that this book was all for looks. The only thing they have that contributes to speed is the fact that they show how to install nitrous oxide.

Overall this is a good book for looks, I will defiantly use it after I get the right engine in my car. I will also need to get a job sometime soon too, because there are some prices in here I don't even come close to having.
