Product Description The first supplement to the internationally acclaimed, best-selling Love is in the Earth series. Over 100 "new" minerals with photographs, and updates of "old" minerals. The most comprehensive reference book addresses the metaphysical properties of hundreds of minerals, correlated to the astrological signs. The book takes the reader on an intimate journey into the subtle realms of crystal energy. Find the configurations, numerical vibrations, master numbers, preparatory methodology, and practical applications of all the minerals from A-Z. Internationally known, best-selling author of the "Love is in the Earth" series, Melody was born in Cumberland, Maryland, and now resides in the Rocky Mountain region. She is a scientist and holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Art degrees in mathematics. She has been working with stones since she was a child, always evidencing an interest in the geological and mystical properties of these children of the Mother Earth. Due to the desire to share her research and knowledge with her brothers and sisters of the planet, and due to the need to make the information available at the onset of the "Age of Love", she has updated this popular book. In addition to her work within the United States, she has taught crystal workshops in Brazil, the Republic of South Africa, and Australia, and has held private consultations in India and Nepal.

Great print, nearly worthless content., 2008-05-03 Good luck trying to even FIND any of the minerals listed in this volume! Most of them are so rare and/or worthless that you could not find a seller virtually or otherwise who would sell them. She even lists a form of wax found naturally near petroleum deposits. Here is what she says: Ozokerite; placing the mineral at the feet, there has been a slight grounding effect. Later: Holding the mineral at the solar plexus, a small increase has been noted in the energy in front of the body, with large increases on the sides.
What? Impressive... Like others have said about her first book the "potential" for each stone is often so confusing and out there that it almost seems worth it to just ditch stones and go to a good therapist. I personally love to collect minerals regardless of their healing powers, but find it an interesting area of study, if that is what you can call it. I often wonder what her methodology is in assigning number vibrations, astrological associations, and other forms of new age ideology to the stones. It often seems her claims are based entirely on the obvious. Often citing the name of the stone as being inherently important to it's healing ability. For example serpentine is said to aid in the rise of kundalini or the "serpent" energy. A totally arbitrary assignment, as it is green, and hence earned itself a name associated with animals that are sometimes green in nature. If it was named tortoiseite I highly doubt it would be considered a kundalini energy stone. I also think much is said about kundalini rising, but nothing is said about the amelioration of said activity, in the instance that the user is having such an event but does not want it to be so severe or happen at all.
More overtly optimistic new age foolishness, with little regard for caution both in terms of the safety of the minerals, and their applied usages, whether physiological or metaphysical.
Last but not least I would have liked to see more COMMON mineral combinations and occurrences that I have yet to see anywhere, for example on ebay alone there is a surprising amount of smoky quartz with spessartine garnets from Fujian China. How about a decent segment on Larimar as it is differentiated from pectolite? What about Atlantisite? Quantum Quattro Silica? Ruby and Kyanite? Ruby and Fuchsite? I predict it might just be a repetative amalgamation of those stone combinations with some far out additions that make no sense at all.
It also fails to indicate any kind of "energy" difference between stones of different geographic origin, which I would think is very important.
