Product Description
For people who receive stock or options from the company where they work, this book makes it easy to understand the economic benefits and tax rules, and reveals strategies for maximizing value and minimizing taxes. It covers stock grants, nonqualified stock options, incentive stock options and employee stock purchase plans. You'll learn how to determine whether an option is ripe for harvesting, and get plain language explanations of tricky tax rules like the section 83b election and alternative minimum tax (AMT). This is an update (covering developments to September 30, 2006) of a book that has sold over 50,000 copies.

Perfect for quick solid information
, 2008-08-13
I looked on the web for information on exercising options since I had no prior business training in this area. This covered all the important facts and defined the language so that I could research the more complex areas myself. Clearly written and a quick read.

Excellent primer on stock option planning
, 2007-06-09
I recommend this book for financial professionals as well as laypeople who need to learn their options (forgive the pun) regarding stock options. This book is current with tax law through 2007.

The answer to an accountant's prayers.....
, 2007-05-30
This is a super book to have available in the office. My first copy was dogeared and held together with tape and sticky notes. The book is written in plain English and continues to be a great help!
