Product Description
The book The Medieval Empire of the Israelites pertains to the bloc of historical literature on the reconsideration of history that was started in the beginning of the ‘90s by Dr. Anatoly Fomenko.

Our book proposes to the reader an in-depth analysis of ancient and early medieval events and a new original reconstruction of world history.

The book's name, The Medieval Empire of the Israelites reflects its main idea. In the opinion of the authors, the first empire in the history of mankind was formed in the Middle Ages under the name Israel, in which monotheism and proto-Judaism became the predominant religion. The authors have succeeded in drawing up their own original concept thanks to the works of many of history’s revisionists, who have shown convincingly that the history known to all of us was built on a mistaken chronology and hundreds of forged sources. The authors successively, in a multitude of facts, while engaging the writings of dozens of authors of different times, show that it is a question not of Jews in the modern understanding of this word, but about the followers of monotheism-about the representatives of all the tribes and peoples of that epoch.

Today many people of Asia, India and Southeast Asia rank themselves among the lost tribes of Israel, although they long since have been practicing other religions. Judaism’s influence is traced distinctly even in the Shinto religion of Japan and the beliefs of the peoples of South America. The ruling dynasties of a whole series of states considered and do consider their ancestors as representatives of the Israelites, in particular, of Afghanistan and Ethiopia. The first rulers of such countries as Rumania, Hungary and Austria also ranked themselves among the Israelites according to faith. All this is shown in the very first chapter, "The Mysterious Prevalence of Judaism."

All the fundamental political, financial and societal structures which are characteristic for modern states originated in the first world empire. The chapters, "The Main Features of an Empire," "The Vertical Line of Power," "Money for the Empire," and "The Empire’s Heirs" are devoted to them.

A number of chapters talk about the "Failures of the Modern Chronology," "The Verification of History with Algebra," and the legends and myths on which the history of Greece, Rome, Egypt, Russia and China are built.

In the appendix are articles of other authors who analyze the myths connected with the poet Dante, with the navy of antiquity and with the perception by people of the notion of "time" .

The book has been written in a popular style and is intended for all readers who are interested in history.

4 out of 5 starsAwful Presentation; Superb Content, 2007-04-30
First, a warning: this book demonstrates the worst typesetting I have ever seen, and the translation from Russian is very poor, especially for illustration captions, which are almost incomprehensible. It's filled with awkward language and idioms that probably only make sense in the original Russian, poor grammar, and many spelling mistakes and typos. There's no index, and no comprehensive listing of the book's many references to the works of other historians. The Table of Contents perversely appears at the end of the book. The book is disorganized, staggering from one topic to another. I found these defects distracting in the extreme, and the first reading, with red pen in hand, almost too frustrating to be endured.

And that is a shame, because these flaws will turn off many readers, and give others with a vested interest in the conventional views an excuse to ignore the book's many insights. Only during the second reading could I appreciate what Grishin and Melamed have accomplished: a complete falsification of the conventional view of "ancient" history (which turns out to be much less "ancient" than we were taught). With one counterexample and impossibility after another, they patiently demonstrate the self-contradictory nature of the standard beliefs. The process by which real history was savagely suppressed and replaced by fictions designed to support those in power is explained. The book's title suggests the author's fascinating reconstruction of our true history.

Hopefully a second edition will eventually be published that will correct the flaws preventing adequate readability and allow the outstanding narrative to shine through.

5 out of 5 starsgood book but lacking references, 2007-04-23
It's a good book with fresh ideas but it lacks source citations and references. A common mistake by Fomenko and company is that they usually cite Russian sources while there are not many people who speak Russian in the USA.

5 out of 5 starsVery Important & Good Read. , 2007-04-09
Dr. Anatoly Fomenko is at the forefront of the "New Chronology" but this work is still original style & tone, very informative & detailed & quotes Dr. Fomenko lightly even though it's part of the New Chronology Club.

History as most know & understand is a sham & scam as far as I'm concerned, there has always been contoversial information that is sidestepped & swept under the rug, it's about time researchers come out & challenge Academia as well as religious institution's established History & Chronology. Too much financial profiteering as well as Life & Death decisions were made with foolish, ignorant & propagandic logic. For society to go forward & evolve it's important to understands it's history correctly. Even if these "New Chronology" books are partially true the implications are profound. So educators, civil authorities & students of history need to read these books.
