Going Broke

Sarai Emery is a young woman who lost her job as a radio disc jockey because of a heated breakup with her wealthy "dealer" boyfriend which was accidentally broadcasted live. With the sudden lost of income, she went from living it up to giving it up for cash when she met a stranger who promised her a steady income working for a high-society "escort" service. With thoughts of dodging the repo-man, past due bills, an impending eviction, and an Alzheimer-inflicted father’s nursing home care fresh on her mind, Sarai feels she has no choice but to plunge into a world where the line that separates sex and money is blurred beyond recognition. However, when she meets the man of her dreams, will she come clean about how she’s been paying her bills, or will her low down dirty secrets rise to the top on their own?

This book was a page turner after I finished Going Broke, I went straight to Dead Broke. Both books are a good read.

This book was the bomb! It kept me up at night because I didn't want to put it down. As I was driving down the street I would read it at every red light. It will made you THINK you want to change your day time profession. HaHa After reading this, you MUST read part2...... GOING BROKE

Going Broke tells us the story of Sarai Emery. She's a high-post, high maintenance chick who likes her men to have plenty cash, and plenty good loving.

When things go to the left with her current beau, she's forced to make a life-altering decison to stay on top of her "get-it-girl" lifestyle. After all, she has bills, she loves her place (doesn't want to lose it), she loves her truck (doesn't want to lose it)and she just gnerally loves the lifestyle that she's grown oh-so accustomed to. When a stranger, Conrad Johnson offers her the opportunity to keep it, she jumps at the chance.

Going Broke is a very smartly written book. As a reader, I was impressed with Trista Russell's ability to present the storyline. Her imagery and description were top-notch. Still, I didn't care for this book.

I could never really sympathize with Sarai, who made the decisions that led her down the path she was on. Every time you thought she was about to put good sense to use, she didn't. Time after time, she disappointed me, and actually caused me to wish harm upon her, so she would have a wake-up call. Unfortunately, Sarai never answered the phone.

Sarai is like a lot of girls....., 2008-01-30
I got hooked with Chocolate Cover'd...and Fly on the Wall. This just goes to show that Trista Russell has her work cut out for her in the future. She has got to come back bigger and better. If you want to read something that takes you on a journey this is the book for you. HIGHLY recommended.!!!

Trista has done it again!!! This book is so good. I always love her story lines and the description of the characters. Can't wait for Dead Broke in Jan 2008
