Good information, 2008-06-27 good information but I would have to take off a week or two from work to do this plan. Lots of steps involved.

Are you serious?, 2008-06-16 I am really suprised at all the people who claim to have read the book and are disappointed. I may not be a huge fan of Kevin Trudeau himself but the book is valid. He doesn't claim that the HCG shots are his idea -he quotes Dr. Simeon. Is the program hard to follow? Yes, but look at the alternative? People are scared to change their lifestyle, so rather than trying they bash this book.

Weeding out the Crap, 2008-06-14 Well, I have two thoughts about this book. If you are looking for pure content, throughout, I have to admit in that regard, the book is crap. It pains me to say that too, because I actually like Kevin Tradeau.
Truth be told, his book "Natural Cures They do not Want You to Know About" is very good, meaty, and I learned a lot. This book, is just a rip off and recycling of that book. So I agree with the people that say he is just making money, blah blah blah.
There is one chapter that decribes the HCG Weightloss Protocol, but you do not need to buy the book for that. You can just get the actual weight loss HCG protocol by googling the book on the web "Pounds and Inches" which is the actual doctors manuscript.
Kevin Tradeau gets a lot of flack for what he says, and unfortunately, his sales manship discredits him,
But if you weed out the crap from the good stuff, there is a lot of helpful information, tips and tricks to living a wholistic lifestyle which ultimately results in weightloss forever, after you kick start your weightloss with the HCG protocol.
I would not recommend this book for that though. Living wholistically is not new, and there are other sources, BETTER sources, that explain how your body flushes fat. Like the "Fat Flush Diet", is very good and very detailed and practically talks about the same types of things as Kevin's book, and that book is written by a nurse.
With all types of natural living, (ie raw food eating, organic eating, staying away from processed foods, vegan, vegetarian, low carb, basic diet and nutrition really etc.. all will talk about similar things.
Kevin Tradeau makes it sound like these things are ONE BIG SECRET!! And the government is keeping us from eating organic, and forcing drug ladden food into our mouths. We have choices. We do not have to go to the supermarket and buy TV dinners. Jeez..
We live in a capitalistic society, and most decisions are governed by greed. There is no incentive to put a true weightloss drug on the market that will not keep customers coming back, like all the other diet aids, that not only do not work, but they make you WORSE OFF!!!
A lot of the stuff in the book is common sense, I think, to anyone who eats natural food. Out of all the resources and books I've read on wholistic living, this by far, is the worst book I've ever read with regards to weightloss, nutrition, etc.. Its just poorly written, recycled information from his old book. Its like, he is just riding on the coat tails of his other book, since that book is actually decent and sold a lot. I was expecting the same caliber, but was deeply disappointed with the content, I was like, it THAT IT???. It read like it was just slapped together!
Kevin Tradeau must be getting some type of kick back from the companies that sell HCG, (through a prescription) because when asked for some guidance on the HCG, they all refer to Kevins book, or the Pounds and Inches medical manuscript, which is terribly technical and medical.
But like I said, you have to separate the crap from the good stuff. Is this the obsesity cure? I certainly think so, and no other protocol comes close to HCG. It works, and its permanent!!
I recommend the protocol, I just do not recommend this book. Or rather, I recommend reading the book, I guess, just not buying it. Speed read it so you don't waste too much valuable time.

Overall important info but maybe not what one is hoping for, 2008-06-10 I have read Kevin Trudeau's first book Natural Cures They Don't Want You to Know About and this Weight Loss one. He is indeed very controversial but I believe that overall, his information is critically important for a healthier life.
PROS:
The information has been life changing for me. I feel better, am lighter, don't take any meds.
I think he's right about eating organic, minimally processed foods, avoiding fast foods, etc.
I think he's also correct about most of our beauty, skin, hair care products being harmful to us. I have read this information from many other sources besides him. I have done a ton of research and can recommend natural products such as Alba, Jason, Kiss My Face, etc.
CONS:
I don't think that the ultimate solution that he gives for weight loss is reasonably affordable for most people, i.e. colonics and HCG injections. I think some people may be disappointed if they were truly hoping to lose weight by his suggestions for Phase 2.
Some of his suggestions are only reasonable for the wealthy. Colonics every day or every other day for 30 days! Very expensive!
I have not researched how much the medical visits and HCG shots would cost but I'd imagine it would be very expensive as well!
I would consider reading his first book initially, Natural Cures They Don't.... He gets very repetitive about the FDA, the government, and the medical establishment, but I think he's angry and frustrated...probably rightly so. It's worth reading through the redundancy. I think the information is critical and life-changing! Good luck!
