This was a fast paced, exciting read. I enjoyed the characters, my favorite was FATAL. She wasn't a main character but I couldn't wait to see what she would do next. I could tell she was a snake too. Buy the book, you won't be disappointed.

Are you serious?...did anyone proofread this book before it was published?!....not only did it have tons of grammatical errors, but the story went on and on about NOTHING!!!. I admit that a few books I have read the stories tend to be familiar, but this was taking a story and trying way too hard to be gangsta!. I thought I was in for a good read, but having gotten to the third chapter, I wanted to ask for a refund. Boring story, boring lives, not a good grasp of the characters.....and the old revenge strategy of setting up a drug dealer boyfriend is way over! Nyse didnt grab me like all the other heroines of hip hop lit did. The story was not credible, and I think the only thing that classified this as hip hop lit was the language (which of course was full of grammatical errors. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

Naughty Nyce!!!!!, 2008-08-03
In Poison K.D. Harris tells the tale of Nalyse aka Nyse a young girl who transforms from naive to nasty. At the tender age of 12 Nyse gets caught up with Spinx a neighborhood drug dealer who patiently waits until Nyse turns 16 to make his move. Ignoring the advice of her older sister Kat, Nyse falls hard for Spinx. It doesn't matter that Kat's boyfriend Rashawn and Spinx are bitter rivals entrenched in a drug war. Nyse has no problem crossing family ties to stand by her man. But when Nyse finally realizes that Spinx has been playing her she goes from nice to NASTY!!!!
The mayhem that Nyce creates enacting revenge on everyone that wronged her is mind-blowing. The deception, drama and utter havoc Nyse brings to people's lives will hold readers captive. K.D. Harris has a sure fire hit on her hands with Poison and The Cartel Publications is definitely on the come up!!!!!

I could not put this book down!, 2008-07-29
K.D Harris has penned an awesome debut! Reading Poison was like walking through time. Talk about your damn page turners, the suspense in this book had me flipping pages like whoa! K.D's skillful characterization and plot development is amazing. Poison is destined to become a hood classic.
