Product Description The assassination of John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963, continues to inspire interest ranging from well-meaning speculation to bizarre conspiracy theories and controversial filmmaking. But in this landmark book, reissued with a new afterword for the 40th anniversary of the assassination, Gerald Posner examines all of the available evidence and reaches the only possible conclusion: Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. There was no second gunman on the grassy knoll. The CIA was not involved. And although more than four million pages of documents have been released since Posner first made his case, they have served only to corroborate his findings. Case Closed remains the classic account against which all books about JFK’s death must be measured.

Serious Case of Confirmation Bias, 2008-10-20 By presenting an in-depth biography of Oswald, Posner hopes to show that Oswald had strong motive for the deed. So what if Oswald had motive? Posner fails to square witness testimony and photographic evidence with the Warren Report. Watch the History Channel's "The Men Who Killed Kennedy". The fatal shot knocked Kennedy's head back and to the left. Shards of flesh, skull and brain were sprayed back and to the left, too, all over the limo's trunk. Anyone who clings to the lone gunman theory as desperately as does Posner is suffering from acute confirmation bias.

Good Stuff, 2008-10-20 I loved how Posner broke down the claims of conspiracy theorists. After reading this book, I had a much better understanding of the entire event and claims of conspiracy. Sure, there's probably much more research I can do and some legitimate proponents of conspiracy, but this book serves as a solid introduction and proposes convincing arguments.

The Definitive Conclusion, 2008-10-13 Investigative journalist Gerald Posner utilizes solid research through hard evidence and the pursuit of tangible leads to their end for the definitive book on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
Posner - beyond a shadow of a doubt - determines that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone and he constructs his conclusion in a fashion that debunks the vast number of conspiracy theories, many that were motivated by profit, greed and the chance for celebrity status.
The case is closed with Posner's impressive work on a tragic time in American history that was due to the crazed motivation of one person....and one person, alone.

Mind Closed, 2008-10-10 It's really pretty simple: if you believed the BS that was in the Warren Commission's report on Kennedy's assasination, you'll probably believe this BS too. Posner doesn't really bring anything new to the table, basically falling back on the same skewed logic and lame 'evidence' that most intelligent people dismissed over forty years ago. By the end of this mess I had put together a list of over fifty valid questions which Mr. Posner chose to avoid. The cover-up continues.

Posner is an absolute Joke!!!!!, 2008-08-07 Posners joke of a book ignores so much evidence of a conspiracy its mind boggling. The Zapruder film absolutely proves that the fatal shot came from the fence behind the grassy knoll.Kennedys head goes back and to his left.He ignores pictures showing someone firing from behind the fence.Puffs of smoke in the air drifting off from the grassy knoll from the shots.People ducking for cover from the shot from behind the grassy knoll.Eyewitnesses that saw these murderers behind the same fence.Gerold Posner is a lying sack.Dont waste a penny on anything he touches. You want a book on the Kennedy assassination, get Crossfire(The plot that killed Kennedy)by Jim Marrs.Once again, this guy Posner is ridiculous. You will see what I mean when you see him on TV.You can literally see that he is a liar from his face.I cant believe Olbermann has this guy on his show sometimes.
