This book was great from start to finish. There was never a dull moment. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better something even better happens. I wish there was a sequel and a movie for this book.

The Coldest Winter Ever, 2008-11-15
This book was so amazing, I couldn't put it down Sister Soulja really out did herself this time. The whole set up of the book is wonderful good plot and a great story line. the way she created these characters was mind blowing. It felt so real reading this book, it taught me alot it's deep. I LOVED IT. I would advise everyone to read this 5 star book. I can't wait til the second one comes out Sister Soulja don't leave us hanging.

Amazing, Eye Opening work, 2008-11-05
I have read this book twice. It is raw yet cutting edge. I would recommend those with struggling teenagers or those who have difficulty making wise decisions - read.
It is entertaining but also life-changing. It really causes you to check your morals and laurels!

It's interesting, the story linked above is my work of fiction that was in part inspired by this book but that doesn't mean I think that the book is perfect. The aggression and determination is pretty inspiring, but her word choices and phrasing in a lot of it leave something to be desired. In addition it felt like there weren't clear directions for some parts of the book as they related to an overall outline. That means that your attention ebbs and flows in certain parts instead of being held throughout. Still, very much worth reading.
