Product Description
Thanks to a gunshot wound from her cheating ex-boyfriend, Sarai Emery wakes up after a month in a coma, and all she wants to do is eat, gossip, see her twin brother, and crawl into bed with Damian, who she thinks is still her man. But her memory is ten months behind, and her life went from fabulous to scandalous in the time she forgot. She has no clue that "high class" prostitution was her way of making ends meet.

Meanwhile, Sarai's new but forgotten love, Tremel "Mel" Colton, vows to stay by her side. Though she can't remember him, he patiently waits to remind her of the long, steamy nights she spent in his arms. He romances her all over again, but just as lust and love start to blossom, shocking secrets from Sarai's past are revealed and suddenly Mel is unsure of their future together.

Also, because she doesn't remember them, some of Sarai's enemies mask themselves as her friends, and Sarai has no idea how much trouble she has gotten herself into. But one thing is certain -- she will never forget her enemies again.

In this seductive sequel to her sizzling debut novel, Going Broke, Trista Russell turns down the sheets and turns up the heat in a story about one woman learning that money comes and goes, but good friends, love, and sex are hard to forget.

5 out of 5 starsBRAVO!!!!, 2008-09-22
BRAVO!!!!! Trista does an awesome job at vividly inking true, mind boggling love. Although Sarai suffers a 10 month memory gap dating back to before meeting Tremel she hasn't forgot about the gap between her legs :-) Sarai's steamy hot sex continues right where she left off and I promise they won't dissappoint. After Tremel is made privy of more of her whorish escapades he's finally fed up and has a lil wild-n-out for himself which again left me feeling sorry for Sarai. Great imagination, and deep poetry equals a five star sequel. Encore....ENCORE....ENCORE!!!

4 out of 5 starsEnding Balance: Dead Broke, But Happy, 2008-06-28
After 10 long months, Sarai has risen from a comatose state. Sarai is surrounded by friends who've been anxiously waiting for her to come back to life, but unfortunately, Sarai is not the same mentally.

Sarai awakens with the notion that her life hasn't changed, and that she and Damian are still a couple. Sarai doesn't realize Tremel was her true man prior to the tragedy or that Damian didn't have her best interests in mind. While Sarai attempts to piece her life back together, she realizes her true personality isn't becoming, and many unsavory details come to light. Although Tremel tries hard to be patient and wait for Sarai to return to her former self, his passions are calling.

DEAD BROKE touches on the sensitive topic of betrayal that sometimes occurs amongst friends. Author Trista Russell did an excellent job with this sequel, and picked up right where the previous book, Going Broke, ended. Sarai and her circle of friends had plenty of drama to keep them busy, so this tale was a real page-turner. There were plenty of steamy scenes, and Trista Russell's writing style maintains its unique and descriptive spin.

This novel will shock you with all the twist and turns of the story line and does pick up from "Going Broke". Sarai still at times falls short, she is still a victim of money. Tremel has what a lot of men need this day and time and that is patience. Pick up this novel by Ms. Russell you wont be disappointed.

3 out of 5 starsOkay Sequel, 2008-06-14
This sequel was okay. I forgot some of the things that happened in Going Broke so it was sorta of hard to follow. Other than that, it was okay, not her best work.

Dead Broke kept me on my toes. More sleepless nights trying to read this book. I will make sure I keep my day job... LOL Everytime I thought I knew what was going to happen, she put a twist in there.

After reading this book, go read her other book FLY ON THE WALL.
