Must have for anyone who takes prescription drugs, 2007-06-11 My husband had made an apointment to see his doctor. He takes a number of medications that interact with his neurological system. On this particular visit the doctor increased ALL of his medications resulting in a border line overdose. With the use of this book I was able to find out how to get the drugs out of his system, what the proper dosages are and the dangers of discontinuing them all together. With one of the medications, if he were to have stopped taking it abruptly the end result could have been a stroke, coma, or even death. I know you receive information about your medication when you pick it up at the pharmacy, but it doesn't get as indepth as this book. With the book you get ALL the information and not just bits and pieces the drug companys feel are the most important.

2007 PDR Nurse's Drug Handbook Review, 2007-06-08 I purchased the 2007 PDR Nurse's Drug Handbook as a Mother's Day 2007 gift for my Mom. My Mom is a nurse, and she has been a nurse for almost 55 years now. She is 71. Mom had not had an updated PDR in close to 10 years, so I got her a new one. And, I liked the smaller size of the PDR Nurse's Drug Handbook.

The Nurse's Handbook, 2007-05-09 Complete, Concise, and most of all readable! This is the ideal way to increase or refresh your knowledge on medications. The newest medicines as well as the ones that have been in use for years. Learn the generic names as well as the Brand Name!
For home or office I highly recommend!

PDR best reference for the money, 2007-03-31 The nurse's PDR is inexpensive compared to the other volumes. It is comprehensive and gives drug reactions and side effects. I needed this information to make sure my son was not having adverse side effects and to select drugs for his ADHD that cause less problems.
