 Basics available free, 2008-06-28
As an EFT practitioner, I am familiar with Dr. Look's work. I love EFT, I use it on myself and with my clients. It works! Dr. Look has developed a marvelous plan to free us in the area of abundance. I am sure the book goes into a great deal of depth. However, please be aware that her abundance techniques with EFT are available on the EFT website: [...], as is an abundance of information on using EFT in every conceivable situation and with every conceivable problem. If you've never done EFT before, by all means, get the book. If you are already familiar with EFT, I strongly recommend getting Dr. Look's abundance EFT free on line.

Amazing, 2008-06-27
EFT is amazing. You sometimes get a result in minutes sometimes days, sometimes weeks.
I went through only half of this book with the exercises and didn't finish it all.
Within days my business increased 20%. I didn't realize until just now. For 6 months my business has been off and I blamed the economy. I'm now back to where I have been for years and I'm sure it will get even better if I do the EFT for that again.
Carol Look is amazing and I hope she writes a lot more books and makes more CD's.

 Disappointing; As abundant as a really I'm I still would've passed on this, 2008-06-21
This book feels like it was slapped together in 5 minutes. It approaches the reader as if they know nothing, and then offers very little. With regard to the Law of Attraction: "everything vibrates!" As for EFT, "It will change your life!" There is very little background or follow up to the instructions, i.e., why you are doing what you are doing. At one point in the book the author says to scale your intensity on the issue to be tapped 0-10. And then NEVER addresses it again. (Where was your editor??) As for the tappings, she never says how often. So you've tapped a total of a total of 8 times, which takes about 30 seconds...is that it? Am I free forever now of this issue? And what is the purpose of the so-called setup statement anyway? Sure she comes up with issues and things to say while tapping you may not have thought of, but if you use your intuition as she suggests in the instructions "Start with the step that most 'speaks' to you," you could probably come up with these issues as well. Its as if she wasn't sure who her audience is, clueless or competent. So many of the new metaphysical, new thought books think that saying less is more. And I agree, sometimes the most profound information comes in a single sentence. THIS is an instruction manual, not the I Ching. Way too pricey for so little information.
I also think all the folks in the LOA community should stop giving glowing reviews of each others work when it doesn't deserve it, it undermines the credibility of their word.

Makes EASY everything DIFFICULT about the Law of Attraction, 2008-05-13
This is a must have manual for anyone using (or struggling to use) the law of attraction in their lives.
Dr. Carol Look is a top recognized expert in the EFT world, but she will be remembered for her groundbreaking integration of EFT into applying the Law of Attraction. This is where she reveals her brilliance.
Why else would Bob Doyle of "the Secret" (www.wealthbeyondreason.com) endorse THIS book to his entire network of coaching clients? He urged his members to use this book, following a page a day for month, with amazing results.
Let's face it, the books and the movies leave you excited and wanting more, but really applying these "secret" principles in everyday life is hard. And why is it hard? Because we are human and have loads of programming and experiences interfering with our abundance goals. Add to that, the majority of this interfering "stuff" is below our conscious awareness, making it hard to find, never mind get free of. No wonder people are getting frustrated making the law of attraction work for them!
The answer is in this book. Using EFT, a dramatic personal change tool, and her knowledge of all the issues that block abundance (such as fears, limiting beliefs, guilt) Carol gives the ultimate recipe for success, literally in recipe form. All you have to do is follow along and say the words. You may not even think certain issues apply to you, only to find "stuff" coming up as you tap through the recipe...then, thankfully, it's gone.
Previous limits and fears disappear leaving you in a place of peace, gratitude, excitement and natural forward motion.
EFT is named the emotional freedom technique because it gives you freedom from painful memories, traumas, habits and beliefs. Carol's use of EFT for abundance will set you free to be more, achieve more AND recieve more abundance into your life.

 Clear guide for EFT beginners, 2008-01-02
I purchased this along with several other EFT books and each has its place. This gives a number of clear "tapping recipes" for improving one's performance in many areas of life. It focuses a lot on material abundance--money and success--but it also includes some for relationships and even one's relationship to God.
It strikes me as particularly helpful to the beginner who doesn't really want to understand how energy therapy works but wants quick results in his life. Another reviewer here mentioned that Carol's method of only doing one round of a negative belief before tapping in the positive affirmation is different than the way Gary Craig (the founder of EFT)teaches EFT. Gary's way is to completely eliminate the negative belief at its origin before attempting to introduce a positive belief. I suppose that whatever works is valuable and apparently a lot of people have benefitted from this book.
If you are the kind of person who likes recipes, you will appreciate this book. Many people, in the beginning, just want help in choosing words and Carol does this very well for them. If you are the kind of person who wants to understand basic principles and then formulate your own approach, this might be disappointing.
There is a nice tone to the book and I think that people with a spiritual orientation might like it. It seems less offensive than some "get rich" books that are on the market.
I did find it a little expensive compared to other books that give a lot more information. However if you are a serious EFT practitioner this is definitely a nice addition to your collection and one that you might find helpful to give to beginning clients.
