Product Description
Like volume 1, this volume contains stories written by Bill Callies about his years as a Minnesota Game Warden. Bill was stationed in four different towns in Minnesota and the factual, exciting, interesting stories document his years as a warden--the job that he loved. He was a tough, fair warden who was always completely honest writing about what happened to him while he was a warden.

Good easy read
, 2007-09-10
Being heavy into hunting and fishing I found this book very good. I like how his personal thoughts are in there with nothing held back. It was amazing to see what great lengths he went to to catch violators and the amount of time he would spend on stake outs. Surely he was one tough man.

One Tough Warden
, 2007-08-30
Having lived in one of the last areas that Bill Callies served as Game Warden made this book extremely interesting for me. I know several of the people mentioned here. Names, dates, and places are recorded. Nothing is left to the Imagination. Each chapter is a short story in itself, so this book makes great reading when you have only short times to indulge in it. If you are a lover of the outdoors, hunting, or fishing, you can appreciate how a Conservation has the ability to instill fear in the hearts of game law transgressors. Bill was a master in this regard. Grown men shuddered when they knew Bill was on their trail. I highly recommend this book to the outdoorsmen. It'll keep you honest.
