Pretty... but also pretty fake, 2007-12-30
If you're expecting a good leather cover, this isn't the journal for you.
It's pretty to keep as a journal, but it looks surprisingly cheap. It's also intimidating to write in, I haven't written a page yet :)

The journal is great for the price. It isn't real leather, but it looks great. I love the inside pocket and the magnetic thing that make it close. I bought it for my fiance, so it's a good 'guy' journal as well. He really liked it!

Journal Leather Wraps, 2007-05-13
This will make a fine gift, especially for male journalers. It is something I wouldn't buy for myself as it is pure luxury. But my son-in-law is sure to enjoy it. Came as expected. Good quality.

Smythe Sewn Faux Old Leather Wraps, Handtooled, Lined, 2007-04-10
Very nice, quality product. Looking for something large in size, yet still lined that would last as a family journal heirloom for our next generations to come. Would suggest offering a family journal style. Maybe something a bit larger keeping it lined to help with neatness. Product was exactly what I expected. Very nice.

This journal was not as nice as I thought it would be. I like covers that feel like leather or suede, even when they're "fake" (faux), but the cover of this journal didn't give me the feel I hoped for: it was too hard and vinyl-like. Inside, though, the quality of the paper and binding were excellent. So, if you can get over the cover, your muse may still visit you to inspire your writing in this journal.
