A series of short black and white stories. Each with a new set of characters and "situations". Well drawn with playful characters who seem to thoroughly enjoy themselves. Full of humour. Recommended

Good Stuff, 2008-05-14
This is my very first full-on erotic comic experience. I've read some here and there over the years but I've mainly been a super-hero reader. But I got turned-on to Richard Moore through Boneyard (I'm a HUGE fan) and read a lot of great reviews for Horny Tails. It was worth the purchase. Great art. Above average porn stories. Erotic as any good pornography on film.

Creative and Well Drawn, 2007-05-31
This is a creative and well drawn collection of short stories, many of which contain some rather humorous elements. Unique drawing style, especially of faces. Don't ignore the tails part of the title - just another element that makes this an especially interesting and entertaining work.

A highly talented artist, offering fun work for adults, 2007-03-12
This is adults-only fare with an almost "cute" edge to even the most graphic hardcore depictions. Richard Moore seems to put a softer edge on mature comics art - much like his current Boneyard series (which is all-ages), every character is rendered in some unique manner which imparts personality and somehow more. Yet, it's mostly a sexually explicit comic book romp for the heck of it.
Some of the reviews here which claim this book has either too little graphic depiction of sex and/or doesn't represent high-brow fantasy seem rather off the point - I really can't reconcile those perspectives with this work. This isn't a graphic novel, but a collection of short stories and pinups for adults. There's no deeper meaning here, and there's plenty of modest humor, titillation and sexual situations/depictions.
Let's be honest: in this work (similar to his other collections) we get to enjoy more of Moore, essentially. His themes and sense of humor are silly and even taboo, and are complemented by his marvelous talent for depicting the human body (well, and aliens, animals, etc.) in a compelling comics style.

The art was ok but there was not enough sex or "graphic" to this graphic novel. Just not hardcore enough.
