4 out of 5 starsCrisp, finished style; adults-only futurism and sarcasm, 2007-04-22
Man's clean, rounded lines and effective use of greytones can make these cartoonish characters pop out of the page, somewhat. Their eyes and mouths are very expressive, with a fun use of exaggerated comics perspective and blown-out bodily proportions at times.

The storytelling and dialog are generally low-key: displayed emotions and actions tell most of what is necessary to convey, actually. Although I'm a fan of Man's professionally rendered style, I feel that the artist is only middling in terms of either witty or serious use of characters - whether in gonzo action or plot-forwarding situations.

I do admire Man's generally clean drawing style, but it sometimes comes across as a bit sanitary - especially when so many scenes rely on tightly-framed closeups to convey "action". Maybe that tracks well with mainstream, live-action xxx film styles these days - just not my taste, admittedly.

Not to take away from the obvious skill on display, it's simply that even the more xxx or violent scenes Man offers can feel a bit too staged, when you might expect more of an emotional impact of some sort.

Overall, recommended for those who enjoy a professional, modern style of cartoon porn. There is some basic storytelling and occasional violence thrown in for the heck of it.

3 out of 5 starsErotic Terminator, 2005-06-13
In his first collection, Man shows a future where robots are in charge. In this volume we find out than Man was right and very accurate. A robot from the future has been sent back to eliminate this view into the future. If people know the truth about the future, they may be able to prevent it.

This sounds very much like a story from the Terminator series except for the addition of large amounts of humor and sex. No dispassionate robots here. Because of the contemporary nature of these stories, there is a chance it will not appeal to the same readers that the first volume did but most likely if you enjoyed the first collection, you will enjoy this one.

4 out of 5 starsShort Stories, Many Robots, Few Humans, 2004-12-06
Grayscale colors and clean lines are used in this collection of futuristic sex tales. In the future humans are endangered and robots are common. Robots have been made in the image of humans to such an extent that they are just as randy as their creators.

These tales all deal with the future technology and how it impacts human (and robot) relations. The fact that the cover claims this is volume 1 gives fans hope that there may be more stories soon.
