Good but limited huntung guide, 2008-02-25
This book is a gem. It gets to the core of shot placement on various North American big game species but is very limited in scope. It does, however, help tremendously in visualizing shot placement and anatomy of individual species.

Very informative. I wish it were a larger book, though. This book is postcard size. That is the only reason it didn't receive 5 stars.

THE PERFECT SHOT, 2007-01-03
This is a very good reference on the various animals. I am a Hunter Education & Safety Instructor for the State of California. This is a nice book that I recommend to our students. It shows the animals in different presentations that you may encounter in the field during a hunt. Our mission as instructors is not only to teach safety as the number one concern in hunting, but also, to deliver a clean one shot kill that is respectful and humane to the wildlife we are harvesting. This little book is one of the best that I have seen that covers this subject very well. I highly recommend it for experienced hunters as well as new hunters.
