Essential Words for Prison, 2007-04-08
I teach in a maximum security prison and have started a very low-tech library with donated books. I brought "Test Words..," into my classroom and found that many of my students were almost instantly enthralled with the idea of learning new words. Now there's a daily "Word of the Day" on the board, and the students work very hard to use the word at least 3 times during the class period. Many of these men are struggling to better themselves and this book seems to have opened a new window for their worlds. Words are fun, and my guys prove it to me every day!

A Must Own for families with children in high school and college!, 2007-04-08
I purchased my first copy as a gift to my employer who has two daughters in college. They love it and have found it very useful.

This second copy is for the same employers' son who is in high school and preparing for the SAT's.

This makes a wonderful caring gift for children in school and for personal use as a reference!

Too old for the SAT!, 2007-04-08
I am a technical writer with a sizable library of resource books to which I refer from time to time for assistance in usage, meanings, grammar, etc. This book is on that shelf and used. On occasion, it is the one resource which is helpful, well justifying its presence on that shelf.

Great teaching tool..., 2007-04-07
As a teacher and someone who has taught SAT Prep, I found this book to be both informative and easy to navigate. It's well-written and isn't dry as many books of this nature are. It's a must-have for anyone preparing for standardized tests like the SAT or GRE, or for anyone looking to improve their vocabulary.
