Product Description It was recognized from the beginning of the Luftwaffe Camouflage and Markings series that only a fraction of the wealth of photographic material unearthed in the course of the research could be included. This is the first photographic supplement to the original two volumes. Compiled by Ken Merrick, the author of the original two volumes, and fellow Australian Brett Green, each of these follow-up books will focus on specific aspects of Luftwaffe practice from 1933 to 1945. The key feature in this book is cockpit detail and instrumentation. Other topics covered by the photos are day fighters, nightfighters, ground-attack aircraft, bombers, maritime and reconnaissance aircraft, and those used primarily in civil and commercial capacities as well for training and liaison.

Luftwaffe Photo Scrapbook!, 2008-11-30 Intended as a photographic supplement to the two-volume LUFTWAFFE CAMOUFLAGE AND MARKINGS, 1933-1945 set, this 2007 volume from Midland Publishing offers up 144 pages of well captioned photos of Luftwaffe aircraft. Merrick, Creek and Green are some of the most knowledgeable Luftwaffe authorities in the world and this excellent book reflects their widespread knowledge and photo collections.
The book is divided into nine chapters: Day Fighters; Night Fighters; Ground-Attack Aircraft; Bomber Aircraft; Maritime Aircraft; Reconnaissance Aircraft; Civil, Commercial and Military Aircraft; Training, Liaison and Light Aircraft; and Instruments and Cockpit Interiors. The final pages contain corrections and addition to the two-volume set.
As an example of the book's coverage, the Day Fighters chapter devotes 33 pages to that branch of the Luftwaffe. Photo coverage begins in 1936 with the Heinkel 51. Each 'new' fighter - Bf 109, Bf 110, FW 190, etc. - is introduced in chronological order with photos showing standard and special markings, camouflage schemes, etc. The Day Fighter chapter includes 60 black & white, 14 color pix and two camouflage diagrams.
While readers will delight in the many previously-unseen photos, the extensively detailed captions are also quite interesting. Although the price tag is a bit pricey ($44.95), the illustrations and information make this book a must-have for Luftwaffe enthusiasts. Recommended.

Excellent reference source, 2008-10-02 If you own the two main volumes of Luftwaffe Camo and Markings, you will definitely want this Photo Archive in your Luftwaffe reference collection. Detailed captions on most photos provide excellent analysis and photographic interpretations of colors and schemes for the aircraft depicted. An excellent resource for the student of luftwaffe history or the aviation modellor. I can highly recommend this book and, of course, the two main volumes.
