Product Description
HSAs stand for Health Savings Accounts - a new U.S. Government program, similar to IRAs, offering a tax-sheltered way to pay for health care costs and still accumulate tax-free savings for retirement health costs. HSAs became national policy in 2003 and are becoming more popular year by year.

5 out of 5 starsA Must Read for Small to Medium Sized Businesses, 2004-12-27
As CEO of a small to mid-size company, the continuing increases for the cost of health insurance caused me to look for alternatives. I kept hearing about health savings accounts and found various articles, but no one complete, independent source until I came across The Small Business Guide to HSAs.

Ms. Laing's easy-to-follow book with its charts and summaries explains what HSAs are and compares them to other insurances, lays out the criteria of determining if HSAs are a good alternative for your business, tells you how to set-up an HSA program (including how to check-out the reliability of vendors), and then how to implement one within your organization; plus there is an informative companion website, HSAfinder.com. The Small Business Guide to HSAs is a must read for any one thinking of using an HSA for their business.

5 out of 5 starsImportant information for small business owners, 2004-10-21
Very informative, with 'real world' examples of how HSAs can work for most small and medium-size businesses. As a banker who has worked with companies of these sizes for over 20 years, I would reccomend this book to any business owner who is looking for a way to control costs and keep employees happy.

It is easy to read and well laid out. Use of jargon is minimal, and the text provides a comprehensive plan for the establishment, tracking and use of these accounts.

With input from many sources, and easily understood examples, this book should be read by every business owner in the US!
