Equipped with an exceptionally powerful 280-watt motor, this versatile appliance is a combination hand mixer and hand blender. For mixing, beating, and whipping, there are two cunningly designed beaters that produce volume while reducing splashing. For kneading, there's a strong dough hook, and for blending, there's an attachment that can be used in the accompanying 2-cup container (or any container) for small jobs like salad dressings. For chopping, the power unit attaches to another container with its own blades to make quick work of nuts, onions, hard cheeses, herbs, garlic, and meats. (The container's base serves as a snap-on plastic lid for storage.) The mixer/blender has three speeds and a power-pulse button for working through tough jobs. I have had the multimix for over 12 years and love it-- I hate to chop and I use this for everything!! I am buying another one only because I want one at our vacation home.

12 YEARS of SERVICE!!!, 2008-11-25
I am extremely impressed with this. This would make a PERFECT wedding present for anyone. That is what I received it for 12 1/2 years ago. It is almost ready to die now. But I have absolutely LOVED this thing. The chopper attachment broke a couple of years ago and I am down to just basically using the mixer, but I bought a cuisinart small chopper later and it does not cut as uniformly and nicely as this one did. Now I have six children and I am going to order another one right away. The mixer is great in itself and the other attachments are a WONDERFUL bonus...Definitely worth the little bit of extra money to get this 4-in-one!!! GET IT!!!

Great little mixer., 2008-11-25
My wife had owned one of these since the 1990s (long before we met), and it worked perfectly until it took a bad fall from the counter to the floor. We were somewhat surprised to find that Braun is still making this exact model, which must be a rarity indeed for a consumer kitchen product. It's a testament to how well the product works. We have a big stand mixer, but this hand-held model is perfect for smaller jobs.

best timesaver I own, 2008-11-25
I use the Braun every day. It chops onions and celery to perfection. My scrambled eggs & omelets have no white showing. Egg salad is chopped fine, the only way I will eat it.
