From the supplier: Low-income groups and the elderly are more likely to pay non-sufficient funds (NSF) check fees than other depositors. Multivariate Analysis of Variance was employed to examine the incidence of NSF check fees at financial institutions. Findings also rejected an earlier hypothesis that the probability of writing an NSF check depends on the depositors selection of primary financial institution.
