A Good Read, 2008-09-23 By far the best version of Aesops I have seen yet. 53 illustrated stories are included in this book with a variety of artists contributing their own interpretations- everything from wood cuttings to modern looking color prints. Recommended reading for adults and kids alike.

Flawless execution of timeless classics, 2008-07-17 I don't know what I can add, really.
I bought this book based on reviews already posted, having compared it to about a dozen other Aesop's Fables compilations available on Amazon. This one stood out far and above the competition in the reviews, and it did not disappoint. From the binding, the paper, printing quality, to the actual format and selection of artwork (including a lot of familiar images from the edition of Aesop's I had as a child thirty-five years go), top-notch all the way.
Basically, all those other glowing reviews? Spot on.

aesop's fables - a kids must have, 2008-05-20 It was one of my favorite books as as a child and is very dream come true that my child asks for it to be read every night at bedtime. A nice collection of stories in a sturdy hardcover format. Plenty of morals for all! Great illustrations of animals on every page.

Classic illustration and very wonderful coloring, 2008-02-27 This is a good book to have for the children's library or your own library. The illustrations brought back memories of my youth when I would sit down in the library and open an old musty book of Alice in Wonderland. I liked to admire all the fine line detailing the artist would apply to a single illustration. This edition was done using modern artists using that old style and I fell they managed to emmulate the classic style very well.
