When the Father Holds You Close, 2002-11-06
This book helped me experience God in a whole new way. I had never really thought of myself as His delight, or considered that He would take joy in spending time with me. The book is very interactive as Cynthia Heald elaborates on the text and then provides space for the reader to record their prayers and what they hear God saying to them. I was very sorry to come to the end of the book.

A Closer Walk, 2000-07-18
I found this book to be life changing. The author gently leads the reader on a journey to a closer relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. The book also helps enhance one's ability to express thoughts, feelings, prayers when he or she writes in a journal. The book is divided into 28 chapters which makes it a nice monthly devotional. The author encourages the reader in prayer and reflection. Although I am female, I believe males would benefit from reading this book. I would highly recommend this book.
