Editorial Reviews
Product Description
Contributing the maximum amount to your 401K has become the “holy grail” of the financial services industry. I recently came across several studies which suggest that maxing out your 401K may not be the best strategy for everyone. One study suggested that lower and medium income people should not max out their 401K's due to excessive taxes on Social Security income during retirement. Another study suggested that if you are within 10 years of years of retirement, you should also not max out your 401K. This story explores the issue of whether or not you should max out your 401K.
