Art Finance is a relatively new financial service to accommodate art as a growing asset class. The borrower may leverage artwork similar to a mortgage. Popular among dealers and private collectors, the service eliminates the need to sell art in order to gain capital. The service was introduced to the art market by Andrew Rose, a former Christie's and Southey's executive.
