Derivative Market

Derivative Market Definition

Is an investment market for derivatives like futures contracts or options that are derived from other forms of assets. Derivatives are financial instruments that get their value from the value of another security called the underlier. The underlier can be a commodity, mortgage, stock, bond, or currency. There are two types of Derivative Markets, one for exchange-traded derivatives and another one for over-the-counter derivatives.
