iShares

iShares Definition

iShares are exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and were first pioneered by Barclays Global Investors. The iShare index funds trade like stocks and are listed on the American Stock Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange and the Chicago Board Options Exchange, as well as several European stock exchanges. iShares can be used as a good way to diversify the portfolio of a small investor.
