Long-Term Investor Definition

Long-Term Investor refers to an investor who buys stocks, bonds, or any other financial instrument with the intention of holding it for an extended period. The period varies according to the usage, it must be at least one year. In case of stocks a period exceeding one year is long-term, while in case of bonds a long-term investor may hold the securities for 10 more years.
