Market Value Added

Market Value Added Definition

Market Value Added – MVA is the difference between the current market value of a company and the capital contributed by investors (both bondholders and shareholders). A positive MVA means that the firm created value. If MVA is negative,  the current value of the company is less than the value of the capital contributed, the firm has lost part of its capital.
