Proxy Vote Definition
Proxy Vote refers to a vote by one entity on behalf of another. Entities or individuals need to complete a form called a "proxy form" in order to allow somebody to exercise their proxy vote.
For example shareholders may give company management the right to cast their vote as a proxy vote at a shareholder's meeting.
