Quote Stuffing refers to a tactic that attempts to overwhelm a market with placing and withdrawing large orders. This practice results in a large number of quotes that competitors have to process. As rivals think these are real orders, they spend their time analyzing this data and lose their competitive edge in high frequency trading. Only large players are able to use this tactic, because this it needs a direct link to the exchange.
