Entitlements

Entitlements Definition

Entitlements are benefits based on established rights or by legislation. In many cases financial benefits are provided by government programs. The beneficiaries are usually individuals, but sometimes companies, local governments, or political parties may obtain entitlements under certain programs. The most important programs include social security, federal employee and military retirement plans and unemployment compensation.
