Exercise Date Definition
The date on which the holder of a financial instrument can put its terms into effect. This date occurs before the delivery date. Exercise Date is defined in the agreement concluded between an investor and a brokerage firm. The best know financial instruments exercised on a specific date are option contracts that can either be purchased or sold on this date.
