Limited Liability Partnership Definition

Limited Liability Partnership means a type of enterprise that combines characteristics of partnerships and corporations. Some or all partners in an LLP have limited personal liability. The general partners have full responsibility while limited partners have no personal liability beyond their investment. In some countries, an LLP must have at least one general partner with unlimited liability, in other countries all partners can have limited liability.
